Representative Joy Garratt (D-29) is a State House representative who defeated a well-known Republican, David Adkins in 2018. Joy is a life-long educator and a true example of perseverance: after a loss in the race for State Senate in 2016, she kept her eye on the legislature. During the legislative session, we witnessed her speak with such compassion for her colleagues and excitement to serve her district. Representative Garratt is certainly one to watch!
